"I can't believe it. My dog has his own Lego set! Good grief!"
It may have less pieces but honestly the amount of thought that's gone to it is amazing. I mean the fact that you can display it in so many different ways that are iconic to the comic strip is just awesome. It's definitely going on my list.
Considering the camping scene is what the original Ideas submission was about, I feel like they're obligated to include it in some way. I knew from the second that it was approved that they would add on the doghouse.
If they release a Lego set for A Charlie Brown Christmas then that’s an instant purchase for me
I think the dome piece is the same piece used for Mr Freeze's helmet.
This gets more adorable the more it goes on!
I have every single Peanuts strip in the hardbacks that were released years ago. I think Schultz was one of the best comic strip creators ever. And, growing up, I really loved Snoopy stuff. This is an example of how Lego Ideas can really build on the original submission. It’s included, but Lego took things further by moving beyond the original scene (the campfire) to include the more recognisable kennel but also not ditch the Ideas option. The only downside to what I see is the holes in Snoopy, which I suspect were inevitable without producing a bunch of new pieces. But then this is Lego. And the actual shaping of Snoopy – and everything else in this set – looks excellent. For me, this will be in the running for set of the year. And I don’t think there would have been any benefit in removing those elements that allow for the set’s flexibility in order to save a few bucks. Now, Lego, how about a Peanuts CMF line?
I know everyone is hung up about the holes. But it’s still an amazing set. I pre-ordered when I first saw it. I’ve displayed it with all poses and cannot decide which I like best! I love this set.
