Alejandra wanted to be a mother more than anything in the world, but she couldn’t. After suffering multiple miscarriages and facing mounting pressure from her in-laws, she is pushed to her limit and forced to make a desperate decision: to fake a pregnancy. However, the pressure to maintain this elaborate lie pushes her to cross an irreversible line, triggering the media scandal that shocked all of Mexico in 2009.

This documentary, directed by Oscar nominee Maite Alberdi, offers an intimate look at the case through the words and testimonies of those who lived through it.
