Yes, there's a eurostar train directly from Brussels-Belgium to London, which goes through a tunnel under the channel ("The Chunnel") which connects mainland Europe to England. It takes about 2 hours to go from Brussels to London. The underwater part of the tunnel is 23 miles

Dear Americans, if you do not like the USA, do not escape to Europe but FIX IT!

I mean, ngl, living in Europe isn't paradise, but whenever I'm frustrated with our bureaucracy, prices or whatever, I'm like: "At least I don't live in the US." No joke. Simply saying: "It could be worse" or "At least I don't live in the middle of a war zone" doesn't have quite the same emotional impact.

As a European I feel like the US is just draining their people for every drop of life. It actually sickens me and I'm not even American. How can the arguably richest nation treat it's people like disposable shit is beyond me. And then they make you believe you are the greatest nation on the planet while pumping your food with all kinds of chemicals. Most of which are illegal over here. The US is like a huge social indoctrination experiment. I really feel sorry for you guys I really do 😢

6:01 I live in Denmark and can do this for zero dollars: 1. Stay overnight in a hospital when I'm sick, forever. 2. Being driven by an ambulance. 3. Be examined in the emergency room, as much as I need. 4. Go to the doctor as often as I need to. 5. Take all the courses I want, and all course materials are included, and I get training support. 6. In the case of maternity leave, the mother can get 28 weeks with full pay, and the father can transfer his 13 weeks to the mother, so that she gets a total of 41 weeks, all of which are paid. 7. Public toilets are free in Denmark. 8. Health insurance. 9. Housing benefit when you live for rent. 10. The library and much more. And yes, we pay a high tax, but it's worth it, and you don't have to worry about going bankrupt and uncertainty about whether your health insurance will cover; it does this throughout the country at doctors, hospitals and more. I don't mind paying 38% in tax it's cheaper in the long run. It is less stressful and we have a better work-life balance.

The 10 Euro for the hospital is more like a symbolic fee, insurence pays rest of the bill.

In France (and it's the same elsewhere in Europe), when you receive your salary payment of, for example, €2,000, you've actually earned €2,600. That €600 is taken as tax to pay for all French pensions and healthcare expenses. At the same time, your boss, who paid you €2,600, will pay a tax of €1,000 to also pay for pensions and healthcare. This is what terrifies Americans. These taxes cause grumbling here too, but they allow everyone to access healthcare; it's national solidarity.
