An entire day of eating FOOD WASTE in Germany! We wanted to test out this new app we recently learned about (not sponsored) and see if it was worth it. We order breakfast, lunch and dinner and see what different food waste meals look like from local restaurants, cafes and hotels. I would prefer to call the food "leftovers" rather than waste food.
We have that app here in the UK. I used it for a fruit and veg shop and came away with potatoes, corn on the cob, butternut squash, a turnip, carrots apples, oranges, bananas, and an entire pineapple! There was enough to fill 3 carrier bags. All for £2.49. All good quality, not going bad, would highly recommend if you have access to it.
Hey guys. Little Update: since we filmed this video we had the opportunity to speak to a Cafe owner who participates in the "too good to go" app. He confirmed what our suspicion was: they participate purely for the advertisement and make EXTRA food just to offer it on the app, meaning it is not really leftovers that are being sold. That is unfortunate. Bear in mind this is only information from one shop, though. What do you think of that?
Here in Italy too we the app "too good to go" and I think it's a brilliant project against food waste, bravo to you both for this clip

Wow,so interesting never heard of something like this.Put all the sandwiches in a toaster or grill toaster and the bread will be tasty
I'm using this app regularly in The Netherlands. I love it. The local bakery has "Bread day" on Wednesday... With the app I get on Thursday several high quality breads (€3,50 each normal price), buns and pastry for €4,99... Sometimes it's so much that I'll share with family or neighbors...
