When we were kids, we used to turn the half of the Babybel's red "packaging" as a clown nose.
Crêpes with "crème de marron" and you put whipped cream over the chestnut cream, roll or fold your crêpe, and enjoy. Other tip: mix chestnut spread with thick crème fraîche, put the mixture a certain time in your freezer, you get a kinda chestnut ice cream.
LU was acquired by an American company. In 2007, the French group Danone sold its biscuit business, including the LU brand, to the American giant Kraft Foods, which later became Mondelez International in 2012. The brand is therefore now owned by an American multinational. As we regularly denounce in our beautiful country, French industry has been slowly and patiently dismantled and sold off piecemeal. Fortunately for LU employees and for consumers, the recipes remain French, and production has primarily remained in the Nantes region.
