What do German Teenagers Eat? Eating 🇩🇪 We ate like him to find out *shocking
Descrição
Today, we’re following my 13-year-old nephew through a full day of eating in Germany — from breakfast to dinner. That means snacks, candy, supermarket hauls, energy drinks, Christmas market food, and a classic home-cooked family dinner.
It’s a fun, light-hearted look at everyday German teen life, food habits, and family culture — no fancy restaurants, just real life. We eat everything he chooses and experience what a typical day of eating looks like for a young teenager growing up in Germany today.
If you’re curious about German food, daily life in Germany, or how kids and teens eat outside the U.S., this one’s for you!

I think kids are kids no matter what country you go to. Loved this episode!
Kids I think will be the same no matter where they are.
When I lived in Germany from '80 - '84, there were no energy drinks. Our drink of choice for school was a zitrone Capri-Sonne.
I am half American and half German. I grew up in Germany. It was amazing. I had so much more freedom than most kids in America. I walked, bussed, and rode trains and street cars and subways starting at 14. We went anywhere as long as we were home when the street lights came on until I was 16, then I had to be home by 10 on school nights. In the states you had to have a car to get anywhere except the huge cities that had buses. Best years of my life.😊 I practically lived at gasthauses and clubs at 16 to 24. So much fun.😊
A day in the life of a German teen… and yes, energy drinks are involved ⚡🍫. How do you think this compares to what American teens eat? Drop your thoughts below 👇
Seattle here. The view of the energy drinks on the shelf is VERY familiar. My 14-year old's collection of Monster drink cans are meticulously displayed and grouped by color. I'm mortified and can only hope that most of these were consumed by friends. I certainly don't buy them, and don't allow my funds for lunch at school to include Monster.
I am American, I love eating Braunschweiger on bread.
OMG. You need to post Grandpa’s apple pie recipe. I need to make this. It looks delicious !🥧
