An APARTMENT TOUR of our German holiday rental apartment here in Bavaria! We are staying in a Ferienwohnung at the foothills of the Alps! This is a popular travel destiantion in Germany and it is full of beautiful buildings. Ferienwohnung are holiday apartments that are quite common in Germany. Many are smaller and family run, even attached to the primary house. What do you think of this holiday apartment? This holiday apartment was at Dorf Chalet (Chalet Platzhirsch) in Pfronten, Ostallgäu.

Very beautiful! Fun fact: Pfronten was one of the filming locations for the 1963 film 'The Great Escape' starring Steve McQueen. The final part of the film, the escape through Europe, was filmed in Pfronten, Füssen, Schwangau, and Hopfen am See, each with the participation of local residents.
What an amazing set up. This looks like my ideal vacation. Enjoy!!❤
Ich bin damit groß geworden das in jedem Wohnzimmer ein Bild eines röhrenden Hirsch ist, egal ob Ost oder West in den 90ern hatte fast jeder so ein Bild
Love this. What a beautiful place! I hope we get to see some Southern Germany restaurants and typical foods.❤
Glad to see the Plushies were allowed to go on Holiday Too!
What was the most interesting vacation rental you've ever stayed in? Did it have a lot of deer? If you're interested German supermarkets & culture, check out this video: https://youtu.be/iKsTH4skL_o
This is an awesome apartment! When I was young I had a fantasy of living in a place like this! The rustic beams and fittings are a delight. I find a drawback on the block night tables. I need drawers! And to go out for a hike in those hills, I need my Volksmarchstuck! Just as an aside, the hotel I stayed in Heidelberg last year had a kitchenette, so I had a couple of Aldi runs to fix my breakfast instead of the hotel breakfast which cost €20! Can't wait to next week's adventure!
Grüße aus Pfronten! Schön, dass es euch gefällt! 🙂
