What do people in the Netherlands actually eat in a normal day? 🇳🇱 Today we are eating like a typical Dutch person — from breakfast all the way to a classic homemade dinner. No fancy food trends, just simple, everyday meals that millions of people in the Netherlands grew up with. This is what “normal” food looks like in Dutch culture — simple, filling, and surprisingly unique. #Netherlands #DutchFood #WhatIEatInADay #FoodChallenge #dutchculture

I am 61 years old and i still eat 2 slices of bread every morning with pure hagelslag and dairy butter
Boterham met hagelslag is very common. As a home care nurse i helped this one old lady, 96 years old. Still every morning she needed her boterham met hagelslag and a glass of milk.
Pindakaas & Hagelslag is like Reese's with a different texture.
Hope you guys meet up with buncharted next time you are in the Netherlands!!
@11:58 Your boerenkoolstampot already looked Dutch, but "het kuiltje voor the jus"" that little pool of gravy made it traditional Dutch. Well done!
You can cook the potatoes, kale, and sausage in one pan. Take the sausage out briefly before mashing. That way, you can prepare everything in one pan, except for the gravy.
We prefer to eat our"Bitterballen" with mustard here in the Netherlands.
That sandwich was way too fancy for every day use. Also soup is usually had for dinner, not lunch. I applaud you for that stampot though. Looks genuine!
