Trying Sweden’s WEIRDEST FOODS 🇸🇪 (from Surströmming to Kebab Pizza & More)

Big respect for being one of the few foreign channels that actually try and eat these meals in the proper way.

As a Swedish person this is the first review I've ever seen where people have actually done research and not hard criticized food before even trying it. I am incredibly proud of the both of you <3

So nice to see people eat everything from Kalles to surströmming the proper way.

Us Swedes take anychance we can to celebrate with a Smörgårstårta. Not everyones cup of tea though, but personally I love them :)

That "overwhelming" feeling when you try to decide what pizza to order never goes away. It always ends with trying something new & random, or getting the same pizza for the 900th time.

The best part w. Sandwich Cake is to make your own, and the recepie is the best part, here it is: 1) Take whatever bread you want and like 2) Create "spreads" to put inbetween the layers of whatever you like. Common stuff is Mayo, shredded ham, crushed tuna, but you can put whatever you want or like, as long as it is a bit gooey 3) Frost the cake with whatever you like. Common is creme cheese, some mayo-based mix (tho I rarely have any maya on the ones I make) 4) LEAVE IT OVERNIGHT IN THE FRIDGE. This is an important step, coz it lets the cake base "set" and become slightly moist and delicious 5) Top it with whatever you want, anything you like. Ham, eggs, cheeses, lettuce, tomato, thin onion slices, shrimp, crayfish tails, egs with Kalles Caviar or more "proper" caviar or.. WHATEVER YOU WANT 6) Put more topping on. No, you didn't have enough in step 5. And make it pretty - you eat with your eyes!! 7) Now double the amount of topping. The topping should completely cover the cake twice over, if you see any of the actual cake from above, you've done it wrong. 8) Serve with some beer, sparkling wine, cider, or other light airy drink, in the sun, with friends or family. Easy, you can do it back in Germany. Let us know how it goes. The key is, put WHATEVER you wan on or in the cake, of what you love. There literally are no rules.

This is the usual problem when foreigners hear about smörgåstårta, sandwich cake. They automatically think dessert, since it is called cake. It is a main dish, even though it is called cake.
