RAMEN is a popular dish in Japan and we wanted to try the MOST POPULAR ramen chain restaurant, as well as a local ramen shop to see which one is worth it! We start off at Ichiran Ramen in Tokyo and then make our way to Hiroshima, Japan, to try this local restaurant called, 横浜家系ラーメン 今村家 立町店. Where is the best ramen you've eaten?

Yes, thick noodles here! 😀
Was there in the 80s & 90s when everything was only in Japanese and then you had to point to what you wanted so the Ramen was a lottery, there was a lot of sushi, tempura and other things they had in their windows to show
Hi guys i love ramen have a nice weekend❤
5:31 that jingle is from the old time ramen cart. They play that to let people know that they have arrived like the ice cream truck.
Love Tokyo. Two things to try. Shabu Shabu. Love saying that and it is really good. Also the huge wall clock at the Imperial Hotel is really cool. It is just across from Hibiya Park.
The jingle is played when someone orders an extra portion of noodles. It is reminiscent of the time when ramen was delivered by bikes decades ago and they would play that or a similar jingle.
Hiya & thanks for all the content! They have Ichiran in the US now too. BTW, that jingle you kept hearing? That's the brass horn announcement that a pull-cart Ramen yatai is in the neighborhood... from way, way back in the day. I remember it, growing up there in the 60's. You still hear it sometimes, but it's recorded and sometimes from mini-truck vendors LOL
I've never been to Japan. I'm from Arizona, USA. The best ramen I've ever had was in Canada and also the best sushi, I kid you not.
